Matrox G400におけるマルチヘッドディスプレイ表示

【解説】

Matrox G400を使用して、マルチヘッドディスプレイ表示を行う設定です。
使用したグラフィックカードとXFree86のバージョンは以下のものです。
グラフィックカード : Matrox Millennium G400 MAX
　　　　　　　　　　 G4+ MMDHA32GR
XFree86 : XFree86 4.1.0


【設定】

設定を行う際には、必要に応じて元のファイルのバックアップを行って下さい。

(1)
matroxのFTPサイト

ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive/linux/2001/beta_1_3_0

から以下の2つのドライバ
　■mga_drv.o
　■mga_hal_drv.o
をダウンロードして /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers に置きます。
その際に、元のmga_drv.oのバックアップを行います。

$ mv mga_drv.o mga_drv.o.bak

XF86Config を以下の要領で編集します。
