2.4. Installation Method Selection
On the Installation Method Selection screen (Figure 2.4), choose Standard Installation or Turbo Install.
- Standard Installation
The Standard Installation option allows you to choose the type of server to be installed and to customize the packages included in the installation.
If this is the first installation of Turbolinux on this machine, choose Standard Installation and continue with Section 2.5.
- Turbo Install
The Turbo Install option allows you to complete an entire installation while setting only the superuser (root -- the system administrator user) password. Note, however, that with this method all existing Linux partitions are deleted and new partitions are created automatically. If you would like to mount and use existing partitions after completing installation of Turbolinux 10 Server, you must choose the Standard Install option. In addition, if the installer detects that there is insufficient disk space to complete the installation, you will need to partition your hard disk manually.
The Turbo Install option does not delete existing Windows partitions from your hard disk.
