To install via a local hard drive or via the network (in the case of NFS or FTP), a few steps are required. Turbolinux 10 Server has two installation CD's ("Install CD 1" and "Install CD 2") and you will need to combine the packages stored on the two -- copying their contents to a target directory -- your installation directory. (The target directory (or installation directory) is the location to which you will eventually point the installer. Its name and location are of your choosing.)
Here is a sample procedure:
Copy the "turbo" directory on Install CD 1 to the target directory on your installation directory.
Copy the RPM files under the "turbo/RPMS" directory on Install CD 2 to turbo/RPMS/ under the target directory on your install disk.
![]() | To perform a network installation, you will need to export the the target directory on your newly-created installation directory via NFS or FTP. For details on how to do this, please consult the user's manual for the NFS or FTP server which you are using to export the install directory. |
