2.5. Setting an account

To use Turbolinux FUJI after installing it, a login procedure is required, which authenticates a user for accessing the computer. In this example, a password of the root user (or Administrator, in the Windows environment), which is an administrator's account for Turbolinux FUJI and a general user are registered.

First, enter the password of the root user. The password must be entered twice to avoid erroneous input. The entered password will appear as asterisks to prevent people from seeing your password.

Next, register the general user's account. Enter the "Default username:" and enter the password twice as with the root user. Be sure to remenber the passwords of the root user and the general user that have been set.

Setting of "Enable auto login for this user" check box specifies whether to allow the user to automatically log in Turbolinux FUJI as a general user after starting it. When this check box is checked, you can omit the procedure for logging in.

Tip

If you uncheck the "Enable auto login for this user" check box, the automatic login is disabled and the login screen appears.
