2.4. Selecting an installation method

Select the installation type. By default, "Turbo Install (Recommended)" is selected. Normally, click the [Next] button without changing the option. With Turbo Install, the installer detects the free space in the hard disk and automatically install Turbolinux FUJI there.

If partitions for Linux already exist, note that Turbo Install will delete all the partitions. It will not delete FAT, VFAT, NTFS partitions used by Windows.

If the installer failed to find the free space to install Turbolinux FUJI, the following "Installation Destination" screen appears. Even if the installer detected a sufficient free space, when more than one basic partition exists and no extended partition has been created, Turbo Install does not run and the following screen appears.

If this screen appears, you must select "Manual partitioning" to manually create the partition for installing Turbolinux FUJI. See "Turbolinux FUJI Install Guide" for details.
