Chapter 2. Installing Turbolinux FUJI

When everything is ready, start installation. "Turbolinux FUJI Quickstart Guide" describes the procedure of "Turbo Install", which is the simplest form of installation where the installer automatically set most of the settings. If you want to configure detailed settings or if you cannot install Turbolinux FUJI by the following steps below, manually install it by referring "Turbolinux FUJI Install Guide".

2.1. Starting the installer

Turn on the power of your computer and immediately insert the "Install CD1" into the CD-ROM drive. Or restart the computer. If the CD-ROM boot has been enabled in the BIOS setting of your computer, the "Install CD1" is loaded and the following boot screen appears on the display.

Some startup menus are displayed on the boot screen. By default, "install" is selected. Normally, press the [Enter] key without changing the menu. After a while, a graphical installation screen (Language Configuration) appears.

Tip

If the graphical installer does not start, select "vesa" on the boot screen of the installer by pressing the arrow key. Some models start only when "noacpi" has been specified.
