4.3. Exiting Turbolinux FUJI
- Shutting down in KDE
Select "Log Out..." from the panel menu to shut down the system, which is the same operation as for logging out. The following dialog will come up.
To exit Turbolinux FUJI and power off the computer, click "Turn Off Computer". The power will be turned off after Turbolinux FUJI performs exit processing. Select "Restart Computer" to restart the computer.
- Shutting down on console
Shut down the computer from the console by executing the command:
# poweroff
You can also execute the halt -p or shutdown -h now command to exit the system and power off the computer. Executing the halt command without an option will exit the system but will not power off the computer.
Restart the computer by executing the command:
# reboot
or
# shutdown -r now
 | A computer supporting the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) can be shut down by pressing the power button of the computer. After the exit processing of Turbolinux FUJI is completed, the computer will be shut down. However, this does not mean that the ACPI function normally works for all the computers. |
| Some computer models may not be automatically powered off. If this is the case, press the power button of the computer after you see the message "System halted" to turn off the power. |
