3.15. Package Installation

The installation progress is displayed. To view more detailed installation status, click the [Show Details] button.

Depending on the selected installation type, a dialog box may be displayed to ask you to replace the CD with "Install CD 2" during installation. The CD-ROM drive tray automatically opens. Insert "Install CD 2" and click the [OK] button. Installation continues.

Since the CD-ROM drive tray opens automatically, do not place anything in front of the CD-ROM drive. If the CD-ROM drive is fitted with a door at its front, leave that door open.

When installation is complete, the following screen appears: This screen does not appear if installation has been performed via a network.

Click the [Next] button. A message "Please insert another disk." appears. Insert "Install CD 3" in the CD-ROM drive and click the [Next] button. Most of the software contained in the "Install CD 3" are commercial applications provided by Turbolinux FUJI.

First, the license for commercial applications is displayed.

After confirming to accept the license agreement, select the [Accept] button and click [Next] button.

Commercial applications are selected as default. Normally, do not uncheck this check box. Otherwise, some of the functions provided by Turbolinux FUJI could be unavailable.

Select additional packages to be installed and then click the [Next] button. Package installation begins.

When installation is completed, the "Additional Package Installation" screen appears again. Uncheck the "Install additional packages" check box and click the [Next] button.

If you do not install additional packages and proceed to the next screen, and then realize that some additional packages need to be installed, you can use Turbo Plus, a package management tool, to install the additional package after installation.
