3.5. Mouse Configuration

The installer identifies the type of the connected mouse and configures the automatically detected mouse. You can also specify the following options if necessary:

Emulate Three Buttons

Clicking the left and right buttons of a two-button mouse at the same time is the same as clicking the center button of a three-button mouse. Since the X Window System is designed to ensure that a three-button mouse can be used effectively, you should select this option when using a two-button mouse.

Swap scroll buttons

You can select this option to exchange the scroll buttons. This option is convenient for left-handed users when they use a laptop PC with scroll buttons on the left and right.

You can test the operation of the configured mouse using the displayed mouse image. Move the cursor to the [Test Mouse here] area, use the left, right, and middle (click the left and right buttons at the same time if the mouse is two-button) buttons and the wheel. If the displayed button you clicked turns black, the mouse operates normally.

Tip

To change the mouse configuration after installation, use the X Window System configuration tool (turboxcfg).
