1.2. Checking hardware information

It is important that, before installation, you check the devices connected to the computer on which you want to install Turbolinux FUJI. The installer can auto-detect many of connected devices but cannot possibly support all the existing devices. The following table lists the devices that you need to check. Check the manufacturers, product names, and connection types of these devices. We also recommend that you check the information available on the Web site of Turbolinux.

You need to accurately identify, in particular, the specifications of the monitor and video card. Otherwise, you may not be able to make appropriate settings during installation. These information items are available on manuals that came with devices when you purchased them.

Tip

If Microsoft Windows is preinstalled on the computer on which you want to install Turbolinux FUJI, one of the effective means of information collection is to use "Device Manager" to check the system information before the start of installation. Print out the information if required.
