2.5. Configure Mouse
On the Configure Mouse screens (Figure 2.6), specify the mouse attached to your machine and verify that it performs correctly. Turbolinux usually detects your mouse automatically.
You can adjust the following settings if necessary.
- Emulate 3 Bottons
Check the box labeled Emulate 3 Buttons if you have a 2-Button mouse but wish the combination of buttons to perform the same tasks as the third button on a 3-Button mouse.
We recommend choosing the Emulate 3 Buttons option if you will be using the X Window System, since this graphical interface supports this function.
- Swap scroll buttons
You can enable a scroll button option. This is an useful option for left-handed users.
Verify the mouse's buttons respond correctly in the box labeled Test Mouse Here. Position the arrow in the box and click each of the mouse's buttons. The corresponding squares in the box should turn from white to black.
