Turbolinux Delivers Macromedia Flash Player 7 Support
Macromedia Flash Player 7 for Linux to be available immediately for Turbolinux 10F
TOKYO, Japan - May 28, 2004 - Turbolinux, a global provider of Linux solutions and the best-selling Linux distribution in Asia-Pacific, today announced a distribution agreement to deliver Macromedia Flash Player . Turbolinux offers the latest Flash Player 7 for Linux with Turbolinux client OS products.
The world's most ubiquitous rich client, Macromedia Flash Player is installed across more than 98 percent of Internet-connected desktops and a growing number of mobile devices. Developers worldwide rely on the integrated graphics, video, audio, and data capabilities of Flash Player to deliver the most engaging and effective experiences on the web.
With this agreement, Turbolinux 10 F, a new Linux operating system designed for home computer users to be available in June contains Macromedia Flash Player 7 for Linux and so that, users can be enjoyed the internet without any configuration under the official license. Turbolinux is the first Linux vendor, which has the Flash Player distribution agreement in Japan.
Macromedia Flash Player 7 for Linux offers improved performance, security, and powerful new development capabilities. Optimizations in Flash Player 7 increase its performance and ensure a consistent cross-platform experience. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) support enables developers to blend HTML and Flash with consistent formatting. New support for Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services connectivity allows developers to create rich Internet application user interfaces that handle enterprise data in a service-oriented architecture.

Turbolinux 10 F will be available for purchase in Japan on May 28, 2004 and is priced at $149 per copy. Customers outside Japan can purchase Turbolinux 10 F starting July 2004.
